Introducing Websms Connectors for mysms

Posted in messaging, mysms news by mysms

Yesterday we opened our mysms Android app for other websms services. By doing this, we expand our core service – free synchronization of text messages on various platforms – by one additional sending option.

Using other websms services via mysms is made easy with the integration of connector apps. With immediate effect, there are connectors of providers like Fishtext, Cherry-SMS, O2, GMX, sms.at, sipgate and many more available on Google Play. For users of these services it’s now possible to use their SMS package while sending over the mysms Android app, tablet app, Facebook app, Chrome app, desktop app or web app.

Moreover, we decided to launch our very own connector. With “mysms out” we offer text messages for 0.08 EUR worldwide. This service is no longer part of our mysms app, but a discrete connector which is treated like all other websms connectors. Additionally, you can access your “mysms out” credit via other compatible SMS apps.

Launching mysms connectors we aim to optimize our app to better serve our users’ needs. What do you think about this step? Like it/Dislike it?

    Hi,

I think you are doing an awsome job, already before and even more now with these connectors.
For example me, I have some more bucks on an old betamax account and am glad to be able to use them now. But don’t worry, i’ll be back buying mysms-credit in a matter of days and even more happy doing it :-)

There’s just one thing: please: can we get an ipad app? Thanks!

      Hi Jan,
thank you for posting the very first comment on our 2-day-old baby blog :)
      We’re happy it’s such a positiv one!
Concerning mysms for Apple devices, we’re working on a new version for iPhone at the moment, but will then concentrate on an iPad version.
Cheers and keep on commenting :)

I like your app. Where can I leave suggestions? I do have a question. Can names be used instead of phone numbers? I have no idea what people’s numbers are in my phone for the most part.

    Thanks

what are the connectors? Is there a way to text on another device while my phone is off?

      Hi Raynard,

you can add a websms connector in your mysms phone app settings to save on SMS costs. There are several websms connector available which you’ll find in the Google Play Store. Here you’ll find information about the mysms out connector: http://www.mysms.com/support/android-phone/connector.

It’s possible to send mysms friends messages or messages via mysms out on another device while your phone is off. However, we’d recommend that your phone is always on. Especially sending remote texts via mobile carrier, receiving regular texts and the sync wouldn’t work otherwise.

Feel free to contact us on our support forum getsatisfaction.com/mysms, if you have further questions.

      Best, your mysms team
